Client Lifecycle Management

Client Lifecycle Management

IT managers can use Client Lifecycle Management (CLM) to manage company endpointsthroughout their lifecycle. Many of the steps in CLM such as initial setup, distribution/installation, maintenance, and decommissioning can be automated.

Other terms including Endpoint Lifecycle Management and Device Lifecycle Management are often used interchangeably with CLM but differ in emphasis.

Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) includes CLM but takes a more universal and comprehensive approach. While CLM focuses on the entire lifecycle of individual endpoints (usually Windows PCs), UEM brings together the management of PCs, laptops, smartphones, tablets, and other endpoints in a single centralized admin interface.
