Pull method

Pull method

The pull method is a way to control individual and group workflows and allocate team resources. It is closely linked to the principle of agile software development.

The pull method allocates tasks and resources based on demand and actual need. Team members assign tasks independently and request resources accordingly. The pull method contrasts with the push method of top-down task assignments.

Flexibility is the greatest benefit of the pull method . Since tasks and resources are assigned based on actual demand, teams work more efficiently and avoid bottlenecks. A concrete example of the pull method is the Kanban board, which is often used in agile project management methods such as Scrum.
